End of Life Vehicles
Our depots in Hailsham, Hastings & Ashford are DVLA approved Authorised Treatment Facility, with the latest equipment installed to safely dispose of your unwanted vehicle in accordance with EU recycling targets "The End of Life Vehicle Directive" regulations which came into force in 2005 .
The main aim of the ELV directive is to reduce waste, minimise the risk of pollution from vehicles and promote the re-use and recycling of materials post de-pollution.
What does the ELV directive mean:
- Vehicle manufacturers must ensure that the vehicles they produce achieve certain recycling targets
- Vehicle recyclers must dismantle vehicles in an environmentally responsible manner and achieve between 75 & 85% recycling targets.
- The vehicle owner must dispose of their unwanted vehicle in a legal and responsible manner by using an Authorised Treatment Facility.
We are also a member of the CarTakeBack scheme.

What does this mean to you:
- No headaches with paperwork
- We can provide you with a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) for each vehicle we dispose of. Once the Certificate has been issued, you are not responsible for the vehicle.
- As we are an Athorised Treatment Facility you will not run the risk of a heavy fine in line with the new laws on continuous registration or be liable for any illegal use of the vehicle.
- All fluids and materials from the cars we receive are recycled in accordance with the ELV directive so we are the environmentally friendly choice
- We can collect your vehicle for disposal
